Course Overview
The CNA II (Nurse Aide II) program provides advanced nursing assistant training beyond CNA I certification. This course prepares students to perform expanded skills under the supervision of a licensed nurse in hospitals, skilled nursing facilities, and specialty care environments.
Admission Requirements
- Active CNA I certification (in good standing)
- High school diploma or GED (if required by state)
- Background check and drug screening (if applicable)
- Current immunizations
Advanced Skills Training Includes
- Oxygen therapy
- Sterile dressing changes
- Tracheostomy care and suctioning
- G-Tube feeding and care
- Urinary catheter care
- Wound care procedures
- Advanced infection control
Clinical Experience
Students complete supervised clinical hours in approved healthcare facilities to demonstrate competency in advanced procedures.
Certification
Upon successful completion, students are eligible to apply for CNA II listing according to state regulations.
